This release addresses some known issues
with the document grid
and introduces some new functionality for
notifications, as well as a saved
search feature and back-end technology
improvements.
Fixed: files appear to be missing in grid
after a download
Prior to this release, the row count on the
main grid would be inaccurate after a file
download or a browser window resize and
would appear to be missing documents (see
image below). This release fixes that
issue.
The grid now displays all
documents consistently, even when the
screen size is modified:
Fixed: session timeout page
For security reasons, users are automatically signed out of their session after a period of inactivity. In such a case, the proper outcome is to display the login page for re-authentication. However, users were seeing this instead:
This error has been corrected, and a session timeout will now bring the user back to the login page as expected:
New Feature: user notifications for new
documents
Based on user feedback, Archive
now provides alerts when new documents are
uploaded to any folder you
have open. There is no need to refresh the page to see when new files arrive.
Similar to an email notification
in your browser, you'll see a colored dot
on any open folder tab when new documents
arrive. You will also see a text alert
above the grid that will show the new
document count. Here you can view the new
documents or dismiss the
notification.
When you click "View", the grid
will
filter out everything except the new
documents. When you no longer need the
filter,
simply click "Show all files" to return
all
documents.
New Feature: saved searches
We understand that getting
access to certain document types requires
an advanced search, which can be time
consuming. With this release, we can now
save your search criteria and provide a
link within your agency tab for quick
access any time you need it.
For now, the creation of saved
searches is limited to P1 admins - contact
us if you would like one created.
Update: audit trail for moved or copied documents
For extra clarity and accuracy, the document audit trail now includes the folder ID for moved and copied files (for both the origin and the destination).
Under the hood improvements
We continue to work on
improving the underlying technology
behind Archive and lay the groundwork
for future enhancements.
One example is the Application Programming
Interface (API) we launched in 2022. It allows
secure communication with other cloud data
services, which creates new opportunities for
advanced automations.
New knowledge base for support
We've created this support
center to help you find answers you
need and to get in touch with us when
you still need help. You can access it
directly from the Archive
navigation:
You can search for answers
or browse all articles
here.
We're starting small, but
we'll be adding more content regularly to help you make the most out of Archive.
